Built for Safety. Every detail of our Rubex electric powered stairlift is designed with your safety in mind. We build safety sensors into the footrest, include a locking mechanism in the seat belt, and give the motor instant reversing capability. With automatic limits at each end of the track, standard mechanical and electrical slack cable safety devices, and a fail-safe mechanism that prevents operation until the seat is in the correct position, this stairlift is one of the safest on the market today. It is ETL listed and meets ASME A17.1 and A18 safety standards for public and private use. We also include call stations for both top and bottom landings, which can be mounted to the wall or to the floor. Read more about AmeriGlide stair lift safety standards.
Easy "Homeowner" Installation. Unbelievably, the AmeriGlide Rubex electric powered stair lift simply plugs into the nearest outlet. No special wiring is needed! You can install it on either the right-hand or left-hand side of your staircase; you can even switch it from side to side without any additional parts.
Sleek Design Compliments Any Decor. The AmeriGlide Rubex electric powered stair lift is available in an attractive almond finish with your choice of vinyl seat color. When not in use, you can easily fold up the padded seat and flip up the footrest and your stair lift only takes up 14 inches of space. It's so compact, other people in your household always have full use of the stairs.

Cons |
We bought a Rubex Electric Powered Stairlift online through Ameriglide. We couldn't be more pleased! It was the best experience from start to finish. The salesman (Justin) was so pleasant, friendly and helpful. The installer was excellent. The stairlift works great and has given my husband back his hobby (making pool cues), because now he can get down to his workshop. Plus, by using AmeriGlide, we saved a lot of money! |

A Little About Myself Husband of an MS patient |
Pros The Rubex was delivered very quickly and installed professionally. |
Cons The Rubex is too wide for our stairwell, and leaves only 15 inches for passage. The salesman did not tell my wife and I that AmeriGlide has another stair lift that takes up much less space. The Rubex is very noisy, and has no height adjustment. The salesman refuses to respond to our complaints. My wife, who has MS, is greatly stressed out by this treatment. |
Service & Delivery No issues with delivery. |
My wife and I are very unhappy with the sales service and the Rubez. |

A Little About Myself OLD doit yourself guy |
Pros Simplicity |
Cons It IS heavy! Get help!
The plastic 'chain' was seperated in several places so I called the HELP number listed in the booklet. Had everything straightened out in a flash! Good helpful information. |
Service & Delivery The woman who delivered it could not lift the box containing the power unit/chair. Luckily, I was available to go home and assist her in getting it inside! 115 lbs isn't too heavy, but the size of the box makes it a tough job for one person to handle. |
Did all but the step of putting the third section with power unit/ chair together by myself with minimal problems.Had help with the heavy work! The rest was pretty easy. |

A Little About Myself Retired Chemist/Purchasing Agent |
Pros My wife finds it very easy to manage and it helps her a great deal. |
Cons The transformers in the units hum all the time. This isn't a problem but I wonder why they are powered up when the chair is not in use. |
Service & Delivery The installation was very expedient and the service man was a real gentleman. |
Some of our neighbors are in our age range and are interested in it. |
